Strat™-style Pickups

Cub - $90/each or $250/set Now $72 ea or $200/set
Cub pickups use Alnico V magnets and have an ohm range up to 7k ohm. These pickups have a very pleasing vintage tone, with nice, tight bass, smooth midrange, and glassy, but not brittle highs. I can customize the frequency response to achieve more or less bass, mids and highs.

Bitch - $94/each or $262/set Now $75 ea or $208/set
Bitch pickups have an output above 7k and also use Alnico V magnets. Made for a modern style, they're more punchy than the Cub series. Particularly good in the bridge position when coupled with Cubs in the neck and middle.

Humbucker Pickups

General pricing notes: All prices quoted below are for uncovered pickups. The exception is The Legend model humbuckers, which have covers included. When adding covers to all other models, add $10 for "raw satin" or polished nickel silver, $12 for gold, or $20 for the fully aged "crusty" look. "Raw satin" is a lightly aged, dull look.

The Dr. Vintage set - $270/set Now $108 ea or $216/set

The Dr. Vintage pickups: These pickups were developed to provide a vintage sound in modern reissue guitars. Designed to have an output and tone of normal-level P.A.Fs, they provide a clear, warm & balanced tone, that allows your guitar's true voice to be heard. Built with an exacting wind and Alnico-2 magnets that have been individually tested to meet specific criteria. All the components of the Dr. Vintage pickups are carefully developed to work together to give your modern guitar a true vintage sound and musical 'feel'. Dr. Vintage pickup sets are available with two different neck pickup options: Normal, and a special neck pickup wind designed to 'warm up' very bright-sounding guitars. 8.05k bridge, 7.5k neck recommended for most guitars, or 7.7k neck for extremely bright guitars. The Marshallhead - $130/each or $260/set Now $104 ea or $208/set
Raw, in-your-face, distinctive Alnico-5 hot P.A.F attitude. With an upper-midrange punch and sizzling - not harsh - high end, they'll deliver the power to cut through. The Marshallhead pickups were brought about by the desire for a pickup that captures more of the "overwound" original 59 P.A.F pickups without sacrificing clarity, detail and that great P.A.F "honk". A bright, yet fat and clear top end compliments a cello like bottom and hollow honky midrange so unique to the 50's originals. Using plain enamel wire, Alnico 5 magnets, no wax potting and a special winding process, the Marshallhead pickups have really raised the bar on the hotter P.A.F type winds. Bridge is 9k, neck is 8.2k. User Submitted Sound Clip

  The Marshallhead MKII - $130/each or $260/set Now $104 ea or $208/set
Long description coming soon! - short description: Lower output version of the Marshallhead for those that find it "too much." Slightly degaussed Alnico 5 magnets sweeten the tone and smooth out the high end. Won't push the front end of your amp quite as hard

.The Legend - $150/each or $300/set Now $120 ea or $240/set
The Legend humbuckers are aged to perfection both inside and out. I start with the highest quality "Dead Mint Club" nickel-silver P.A.F. replica cover aged to stunning authenticity. Then, aged bobbins, and aged pole-pieces. No expense is spared and no detail overlooked! These pickups use plain enamel wire, unpotted, randomly wound and assembled coils, and Alnico-2 magnets for the most authentic P.A.F. tone available. Just like old pickups, no two are alike. Average readings are 8.5k bridge and 7.5k neck.

This pickup has a chunky, howling bass, crisp highs, and a slightly scooped midrange. This pickup is long sustaining, ultra thick, and rich in harmonics and howls like there's no tomorrow. Now also available in a ceramic magnet version for those who want true paint-peeling, scorching tones!

The Fenris Humbucker - $120/each Now $96 ea
Named after the Mythological Fenrir, the Norse Fenris Wolf, for it's loud, powerful sound,  pronounced midrange snarl and smooth top end, the Fenris is wound to 14.5k and uses Alnico-2 magnets. Very good in the bridge position, may also be had as a somewhat less output neck position too.

BlisterBucker- $120/each Now $96 ea
Sheer paint-peeling power, the BlisterBucker is the only Ceramic magnet loaded pickup that Wolfetone offers. At 16k, this pickup is crunchy on the low end, screaming on the high end, and a slightly scooped midrange. Perfect for scorching, high gain metal tones. This pickup is thoroughly wax potted to reduce microphonic feeback, as we asume you'll be using it under the harshest of conditions!

Caretaker 8.6k Neck 9.2k Bridge $120/each Now $96 ea

As the search for tone continues, whether for a piece of "old" wood, a Historic piece, or a Master Luthier`s creation, PAF clones always seem to be missing something. Something you just can`t put into words. The "IT" factor. Well, the search is over. Inspired by the classic sound of the Peter Green/Gary Moore burst come this set.The limits of these pickups are only what the guitarist himself is capable of. Rumbling lows, mids that hit you in the guts and blistering highs. Every note in a chord is heard clearly and well defined, even with gain. If you need something to push your sound over that edge you may want to give these a try.

An aged cover...

P-90 Pickups

My idea of a good P-90 is a pickups that can be mean, raunchy, nasty, but able to clean up well and become sweet and subtle on demand. A good P-90 has a nice, thick, full mirdrange growl without sharp frequency spikes.
