Well hi there! Big changes are happening soon at Wolfetone, and I just wanted to let you all know that between mid July and mid August, I’ll be away from home for the birth of my daughter, Rhiannon Siobhan Alarcon Macleod.
I expect to be gone for 4-5 weeks, tenatively from July 11th till August 17th. (flight has now been booked) Why so long? Well, I need to be around long enough before, and after the the stork arrives, to ensure that healing and recovery is progressing nicely, and of course, to spend some time with my daughter before returning home, since she will be born overseas.
At 53 years old, this is quite a change for me. Several challenges await.
People have asked me “so how are you feeling?” – the answer is “Everything, all at once”
Please, have patience and expect some delays while I’m away. Ordering will continue as normal (and will be needed, as delivery cost will be out-of-pocket) As always, we have quite a lot of coils pre-wound and in stock, ready for quick assembly when I return. We’ll be completing orders largely in the order they were received, except in cases where changing that order allows for larger volumes to ship at the same time.
ADDITIONAL: It appears that we may be able to get some – but perhaps not all – orders shipped out while I am away. We’ve made up a whole lot of P90s since there aren’t so many variations, and I’ve trained a friend on how to select covers, pack, and ship. My assembly guy will continue to come in as well, and we’ve devised a solution to get some humbucker and P90 orders completed while I’m away as well. While we may not be able to ship within a day or two of ordering like we normally do, work will continue to some extent.
UPDATE 2
She’s here! Born on July 15th via C-section, Rhiannon has entered this earthly plane, but not without some difficulties. She’s currently in the NICU ward for some minor breathing issues and possible pneumonia which may or may not have been caused by the hospital not inserting a feeding tube far enough. She’s on antibiotics and O2, and will remain there for a few more days, but seems to be recovering well.
And a further update, things seem to be moving fairly smoothly back home and orders aren’t suffering much in the way of delays.

In the meantime, meet Rhiannon Siobhan Alarcon Macleod.
