For the first time in 20 years, we’ve had to adjust some pricing in an upward direction. With price of gold and gold plating these days, it was, unfortunately, necessary to adjust the price of all gold-covered humbuckers. Our last price increase was 2006.
Last week it became clear that I needed to order a new batch of gold covers, when I was wiped out of my remaining stock in a single week. Things seem to come in waves, and apparently gold was popular last week.
The massive cost increase due to the current price of gold was something we just could not absorb, so we regretfully must increase prices slightly.
We’re hoping that we don’t have to adjust any other pricing, but time will tell. Inflation sucks.
