Description

Our humbucker covers are made from nickel silver — the traditional cover material that lets your pickup breathe instead of choking the highs the way brass covers can. All covers are vintage-correct 49.2mm pole spacing, the classic Gibson standard, and they’re the same covers we use on our own pickups.

Choose your finish

Raw, unplated — bare nickel silver with no plating at all. The purist’s choice: nothing between your pickup and the world, and it ages naturally with playing wear.

Nickel plated — the classic bright look of vintage humbuckers.

Aged nickel — relic’d plating with the dulled, worn-in look of a cover that’s been gigging since the sixties.

Gold plated — for Customs, archtops, and anything that deserves a little flash.

Aged gold — gold with decades of honest wear, minus the decades.

Will they fit? These covers fit humbuckers with vintage 49.2mm pole spacing. If your pickup is F-spaced or a trembucker (around 52–53mm), the pole holes won’t line up. Not sure what you have? Measure the distance between the centers of the two outer pole pieces.

Installing a cover on an uncovered pickup? It’s a quick soldering job — two beads of solder along the baseplate — and worth doing right. Use a HOT iron with a larger tip.  Adjustable temperature is suggested, at 850 degrees F.   If you can use something to squeeze the pickup down into the cover with, that helps to ensure no air gaps to reduce vibration of the top.

Made in the USA.
