| Cub pickups use Alnico V non-staggered magnets and have an ohm range up to 7k ohm. These pickups have a bright, punchy tone, with nice, tight bass, smooth midrange, and glassy, but not brittle highs. Modeled after the pickups of the 70’s, the Cub pickups use a flat-poled design with no stagger and plain enamel coil wire. Wax potted to eliminate microphonic feedback, as all single coil pickups should be. |
